Teacher Bio
Dolores Reilly has been working as a high school English teacher for 17 years. Mrs. Reilly currently runs a Peer Leader program which trains 12th graders to support 9th graders in their transition to high school. This program has led to the development of a leadership course which Mrs. Reilly will be teaching for the third time this year. Mrs. Reilly is thrilled to be taking on the Contemporary Issues in Literature class which she will be teaching this fall. Mrs. Reilly also serves as a PLC coordinator and offers technology and SEL related professional development for the district.
Mrs. Reilly has a BA in English from Haverford College. After 10 years of professional experience in non-profit / higher education, Mrs. Reilly became a teacher through the New Pathways to Teaching alternate route program. Mrs. Reilly has a Master of Arts in Reading and is currently pursuing the NJCU program in Educational Technology with the focus on Library Media Specialist. Mrs. Reilly has also completed a 200 hour yoga and SEL training through Breathe for Change and she is excited to bring this knowledge to the West community.
Mrs. Reilly loves to read, do yoga, play and listen to music, and explore new technology. One little known fact about Mrs. Reilly is that she graduated from a boarding school for the performing arts where she studied classical flute.
